Mr. Johnson is a Professional Geologist with a 27-year background of oil & gas experience ranging from roughneck to executive officer. He has dedicated his career to exploring and developing energy opportunities across the Western Canadian and Powder River basins. His recent business management experience as Vice President of the Peace River and Conventional Business Units at Baytex Energy Corp. running approximately 30,000 boe/day during an oil downturn has proven useful as founder of Megalodon. He has an advanced knowledge in petroleum exploration, exploitation, operations, reserves and A&D. Mr. Johnson has successfully negotiated and executed large scale E&P and infrastructure projects including full-field oil & gas development from inception to sales, multi-lateral and multi-stage frac horizontal development, enhanced oil recovery techniques (SAGD, HCSS, polymer and water floods), gas storage, gas plants, pipeline & road networks and discovery and delineation of a billion barrel oil pool. He is also experienced in First Nation & Métis, stakeholder and regulatory engagement. Mr. Johnson has an Honours B.Sc. in Geology & Oceanography from the University of British Columbia.
Mr. Kraychy is a Senior Engineering Technologist with over 33 years of diversified petroleum industry experience. Mr. Kraychy has held a full range of technical and management positions of increasing responsibility since his entry into the energy industry. Areas of responsibility have included supervision of all types of field operations including critical sour procedures, production and asset optimization, costing, execution and field supervision of drilling, completion, workover, construction and reclamation projects, safety and environmental, operating and capital budget forecasting, joint venture representation and duties with provincial regulatory body overseeing oil and gas industry. Mr. Kraychy hails from an oil and gas and farming community that has provided him invaluable knowledge in stakeholder relations.
Most recently, Mr. Kraychy has held the positions of Vice President Operations for two private E&P companies since 2009. Companies prior to joining Megalodon Energy North include C Group Energy, Kootenay Energy, Highpine Oil & Gas, Petrobank Energy, Caravan Oil and Gas, Petrorep Resources and Beau Canada Exploration.
Mr. Kraychy graduated with a Diploma in Hydrocarbon Engineering Technology from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Mr. O’How is a results-oriented energy professional with over 25 years of experience in upstream oil and gas operations, encompassing development, production, field operations, completions and drilling. His expertise includes project management, leadership, and problem-solving, consistently exceeding expectations in both time and budget. He has a proven track record of enhancing production, optimizing costs, and fostering collaborative team environments. His experience includes significant roles at Baytex Energy Limited, Husky Oil Operations and Sunshine Oilsands Limited, demonstrating a breadth of knowledge across diverse operational settings. Mr. O’How holds a Petroleum Engineering Technology Diploma from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
Mr. Doyle is a Professional Engineer and Chartered Professional Accountant with over 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. Mr. Doyle has worked both in the service side of the industry holding various technical roles for various engineering and service companies, as well as senior management and executive officer roles for several junior producers. He has experience working on projects throughout the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, as well as in New Zealand. He is experienced in supervision of field operations, workover and completions, pipeline construction, safety, regulatory and environmental operations, with a strong focus on corporate governance, financial operations and budgeting. Mr. Doyle graduated with a B.Sc. in Neuroscience from the University of Lethbridge before completing his Professional Engineering designation through APEGA and his CPA / CMA designations.
Mrs. Bailey is our Office Manager with over 28 years of experience in the oil & gas industry with a wide variety of experience in accounting, management, geological and engineering technician and land administration. Cheryl is known for being an excellent communicator, especially with stakeholders and vendors. She is a dedicated employee with strong organizational skills who takes great pride in seeing projects though to their completion in an effective and timely manner. Prior to joining the Megalodon North team she previously held positions with Winstar Resources, Pengrowth and C3 Resources.
P. Eric Gallie has 20 years of energy finance and operations, including managing upstream and integrated oil & gas investment portfolio at Luminus Capital Management. Operationally, having experience as CFO and Director at Distinction Energy, he successfully guided the company through a complex restructuring process. Previous experience also includes positions at Citadel LLC’s Surveyor Capital and RBC Capital Markets.
D’Arcy began his career in the investment industry in 1982 as an original shareholder of National Independent Investment Firm. While there, he worked as a floor trader and then moved to the trading desk to head-up international trading for the firm. Later he became a senior investment advisor.
In 1988 D’Arcy began a major move in his career to become an IR/PR and marketing advisor to public companies, and in 2002 became the Chairman and COO of a National IR firm from Toronto.
In 2010 D’Arcy began using social media, as an effective IR tool. Personally, having a following of over 18,000+ followers now over several platforms.
During his career in IR/PR he was a keynote speaker at several investment conferences globally and was the main keynote speaker at an international investment conference in Beijing, China, attended by 13,000 guests in 2011.
D’Arcy worked and lived in New York, during 2008 through 2012. While there he and his firm, successfully opened 3 new international offices (New York, USA, San Paulo, Brazil, and Shanghai China).
Over his IR career spanning from 1988, till present, D’Arcy has led or managed the IR/PR programs for over 200 publicly traded companies.
D’Arcy is also a Member of the Board of Directors, for the Dear Heart Foundation and also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors to Megalodon Energy North Inc.
